Buzzkill maybe but…
Might it be that we have mistakenly considered everything we have, own, and have come to enjoy within our American first-world life has been divinely provided us as the best tools to serve, save and evangelize and not for the immobilizing creature comforts they’ve become?
That was a mouthful of the obvious.
I love being an American and enjoying the overflow of blessings here, but I fear I’ve missed the point.
The bigger picture:
To whom much is given, much is required.
Living modestly at my age by many American measures, I’m still very rich by the standards of this world.
I fear I’ve misconstrued so much and missed the obvious point of life entirely.
I fear I’ve been worshiping comfort, bliss and safety, blinding me to needs of others without.
This theme is a developing personal story.
Stay tuned.
